Monday Night Raw doesn’t have any pay per view events left in 2017, and their next show is the Royal Rumble. It is one of the biggest PPVs of the year, and the company usually wants to have a strong card. Brock Lesnar was on WWE TV for the last time this year, so they used his appearance to build the championship match that is going to take place at the Rumble.
Kane and Braun Strowman battled for the number one contender spot last week, but the match ended up being a no contest. Everybody guessed that WWE is going to book a triple threat clash for the Universal Championship and they were right.
Kurt Angle announced that Brock Lesnar is going to have to handle two big guys at the Rumble if he wants to keep the red belt around his waist. Many are unhappy with the fact that somebody like Kane is in this kind of a match, but at least it’s now not in the main event as the biggest thing on the show is going to be the Royal Rumble battle itself.
When you take a better look at this clash, you are going to see that Kane is only there to eat a pinfall from the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. WWE is going to have Braun Strowman looking good here, but he won’t end up winning the belt.
The company wants to do Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar at Mania, and the final step towards that match is going to be this pay per view. After Reigns wins the belt from Brock, maybe Braun gets his 1v1 shot that he deserves. This is the most likely route that WWE can take, and we are picking Lesnar to win here by pinning the Big Red Machine.
