There are a lot of pay per views during the year in the WWE, but the big four have always been the most important shows. Well, over the last couple of years, Survivor Series really didn’t have a feel of a huge event. Now that brand split is in the full force, the fact that SS is a dual-branded pay per view is giving it a bigger feel than in the past years.
Royal Rumble is a member of that big four, so is Wrestlemania of course. The next one that we are going to watch is the Summerslam, and it is a show towards the WWE is going to build. Everything from now until the late August is going to be done in order to make the Summerslam the best show possible. So with that being said, the company wants to save their biggest match possible for the most important event of the summer.
Right now, it seems that Brock Lesnar, as the Universal Champion is going to be in the main event of that show. WWE title could always be the main event as well, but Vince loves him some Brock Lesnar as he thinks of this guy as a huge attraction, so that is why he is going headline the event for the fourth year in a row.
His opponent was probably supposed to be Braun Strowman, but now, Seth Rollins is also an option. WWE doesn’t want to put Roman in this one-on-one duel with Lesnar as they want to save that for the Wrestlemania 34. Right now, the likeliest options are ” target=”_blank”>Lesnar vs. Rollins or maybe a triple threat match between Brock, Roman and Braun Strowman.
