Injuries are always a big part of wrestling. They are causing all kinds of changes as well as the need for the company to alter their plans. All of this is even more important when a big star gets injured and is forced to miss a significant amount of time because of the fact that it can’t perform in the ring.
It seems that this is going to be the case with Braun Strowan and the plans that WWE had for him. The Monster Among Men showed up on Monday Night Raw with a sling. Everybody thought that it was because of the storyline with Roman Reigns and the fact that they had a brutal match at Payback. It looked like they were trying to sell their injuries, but it was revealed later that Strowman was hurt for real.
That is why Roman Reigns took him out during Monday Night Raw as that was the way for the WWE to write Strowman off for the next couple of weeks. Shoulder and arm injury are going to cause this guy to miss at least four weeks and not more than eight weeks.
All of this means that he is going to miss Extreme Rules pay per view where he was pretty much planned to become the number one contender for the Universal Title. He was supposed to challenge Brock Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire in July, but now, the plans will have to change. This injury might cause the WWE to make Reigns vs. Lesnar earlier than they wanted to.
