Lenovo made an official announcement that the new Zuk Edge will be launched in China in January. However, they didn’t say anything about when this gadget will go out of China, but we expect to see the new phone in India as well. Meanwhile, let’s check out the specs and characteristics of the new phone.
Display and Processor
The Zuk Edge will feature a 5.5-inch Full-HD display with a 2.5D curved glass. In addition, a bezel-less design is also included, and according to Lenovo, we should expect 1500:1 contrast ratio and an 85% NTSC color coverage.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC and the Adreno 530 GPU will power the new device. The customers will be able to choose between two options – the first one comes with the 4GB of RAM, while the second one has 6GB of RAM. Both come with 64GB of internal storage which cannot be expanded, unfortunately, but this should be enough for most users. Android Nougat ZUI 2.5 can be found, while the Edge is equipped with a 3,100 mAh battery and it uses Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.
Camera and Features
The front camera on the Zuk Edge has 8MP, while the 13MP main camera is located on the back and it comes with phase detection autofocus and a f/2.2 aperture.
This device will feature a U-Touch Navigation System which debuted in the Zuk 72. According to GSMArena, the Edge sports a fingerprint sensor just below the display and what is interesting is that it takes only 0.09 seconds to unlock the device. In addition, you can find a built-in Heart Sensor, the UV light sensor, and a pneumatic altimeter. Gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and accelerometer are included as well providing numerous options for users.
