Let’s get straight to the point. The actual release date is unknown, and it has yet to be confirmed by the publishers, but the fans shouldn’t have to wait for long before they can play this game. The parent company of 2K Sports has confirmed that WWE 2K18 will be launched this fall, but the specific date remains a mystery. The NBA 2K18 arrives on September 19, and WWE is expected slightly after that, perhaps October. We should get more information about the exact date in the upcoming months.
Last year, the game was launched in October as well, whereas the PC version ensued in February this year. Bonus character was Goldberg who was revealed on May 31, 2016, and only the those who pre-ordered the game had this addition. Be that as it may, the WWE 2K18 is coming and it will be one of the most talked games this year.
Gameplay, Rumors and Features on WWE 2K18
WWE is exciting in real life, so the game also has to be entertaining. In fact, the WWE 2K is a real hit amongst the fans, plus the upcoming title is quite promising, and it is expected to be improved compared to the previous game. The technical upgrades will smoothen out the gameplay, and better controls are inevitable. Furthermore, reactions, when the player is hit, will also be improved and more visible.
Also, 2K will modify cameras so that the fans have a feeling closer to a real-life experience while the developers also tackled with the crowd at the matches – their reaction will be different to a fight that matters. Simply everything is going to be better in the WWE 2K18 from the tiniest details to the general feel of the game.
In WWE 2K17 for the first time, you could take fights outside the ring, and that was a great start. Hopefully, this will also improve in the sequel and imagine if you could take the fight anywhere you want without restrictions. That would be so awesome. This takes work to develop, and we don’t expect perfection in the 2K18, but we would like to see the game going in that direction. We also need to mention the commentary in the WWE 2K17 which is disastrous and what we need is more authentic commentary element.
Most of the WWE matches are all about drama, tension, and rivalries. Even though we doubt it would go too far, it would be great to see user-created storylines. For anyone who knows what to do with this game and in which direction to go, this would be an amazing feature whereas other would find it entertaining but perhaps slightly confusing. In some way, the WWE 2K18 is not realistic. For example, the weight of the players is not addressed at all, and this needs to be improved. It is not the same if a guy weighs 250lbs or 150lbs.
According to the rumors, there is a possibility that Kurt Angle is going to appear in WWE 2K18 and if this happens, he will be in the “additional character” section. For those who pre-order the game, 2K rewards with a character and this year that could be either CM Punk or Owen Hart.
