NFL awards will be given in exactly seven days. We will find out who are the MVP of the league, the best offensive and defensive players of the year, the best rookies and the best coach. All races are pretty tight, but probably not as close as the race for rookie of the year. Both Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott are deserving of this award, but who is going to take it home.
Elliot has led the league in rushing in his rookie season and is one of the main reasons that Dallas had a great year. He was the one that was getting those tough yards, keeping the clock going and hiding Dallas’ mediocre defense while keeping it off the field. Cowboys had the best rushing attack in the NFL and Elliot is the main reason for that result.
On the other hand, we have a guy that threw 23 TDs and 5 INTs, brought the security to the quarterback position that the Dallas Cowboys haven’t had for a while. He kept the ball safe, converted on third downs and made a lot of big plays in the big moments for Dallas. When Cowboys were down in the Divisional Round against the Green Bay Packers, Prescott stepped up. He had more than a few brilliant plays both during that duel and through the entire season.
Even though Ezekiel Elliot has been important for Dallas and has probably had a better year than Dak Prescott as he is already one of the best players at his position, Prescott is playing at the most important position in the football, and that is why he will probably win the Rookie Of The Year Award.
