The new Pokemon movie called Detective Pikachu is coming soon, and Dwayne Johnson is one of the actors who might voice the film. The Pokemon franchise is a huge one, with numerous spin-offs and merchandise, which is no wonder why it is popular all around the world. Finally, after years of waiting, we are going to see the new live-action Pokemon movie.
The film will be made by Legendary Pictures, and it will be an adaptation of the video game called Great Detective Pikachu. We have seen this character in numerous roles, but the one where he is playing Sherlock Holmes is really intriguing. Can you imagine Pikachu solving crimes together with the human sidekick?
According to That Hashtag Show, several actors are on the wishlist to voice the main character. Besides, Dwayne Johnson, Legendary Pictures might give this job to Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Mark Wahlberg.
Even though the production company still need to meet the actors, just having the list in front of us gives us the idea of the film and what it will bring. Detective Pikachu is going to be directed by Rob Letterman, but can you see some of these actors actually voicing the protagonist? It is silly, don’t you think?
We all know that Pikachu’s voice is high-pitched in the animated shows, movies, and the game, but having someone with the hoarse voice playing Pikachu will be the part of the fun. Already, we can see that this film will be odd and perhaps a difficult sell, but we like the idea. The question that arises is whether Dwayne Johnson is going to accept the role if he is offered. We know that he could easily pull it off, but it is not his kind of a project.
