Jake Kasdan and Dwayne Johnson will try to repeat a success from Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Netflix picks up the rights for this movie after the bidding battle with other significant studios in business. The Rock finally joined one of the biggest streaming provider, and this will be the first Johnson’s project for Netflix.
The popular actor said that Netflix is the downright provider for this film because the story is related to people all over the world, and Netflix can provide this kind of audience.
Tom Wheeler and Hiram Garcia are developers for this project behind Dwayne Johnson`s Seven Bucks Production.
Here is what Dany Garcia said about the partnership, “Our partnership with Netflix is giving us an incredible opportunity to reach a broad and diverse audience in the most accessible and intimate manner. We are absolutely thrilled with the opportunity.”
Scott Stuber, Netflix’s head of film, did not spare words for Dwayne Johnson, “Dwayne is a global superstar, inarguably one of the most popular actors in the world. He and Jake are a tremendous duo with a proven track record of entertaining audiences worldwide. We’re delighted to be able to partner with them and collaborate with Seven Bucks Productions and FPC. This is a story with universal appeal and we can’t wait to bring these characters to families around the globe.”
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle earned $962 million and ruled the box offices all over the world so we can predict the same huge success for the new project John Henry and the Statesmen. We will wait with impatience for that movie spectacle.
