As we already know, this year’s Money in the Bank match is going to have six guys battling for the briefcase that guarantees them a title shot at any opportunity. They are the ones that get to pick when they are going to cash in the contract inside the briefcase in order to take down the champ. The winner will be decided between AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler.
Cashing in with the MITB briefcase is something that heels do. They usually wait until the moment when the champion is hurt in the ring. Then, their music hits, they come down running full speed in order for the match to start as soon as possible. Usually, the one that cashes in the briefcase wins the title right away. We have three heels in this competition, but it looks that we have a clear-cut favorite as of right now.
Ziggler is not somebody that company is now going to push. Even though he is a villain right now, he is not winning the match next Sunday. Kevin Owens is also a heel, but he has the US belt over his shoulder, so he is probably not going to be the one to climb the ladder and end up victorious here. Some are arguing that he shouldn’t even be in the match.
That leaves us with Baron Corbin. There is no doubt that the Lone Wolf should and probably will win the showdown next Sunday at the pay per view. There were reports earlier in the year that the company wants to push him, he has improved a lot while also being a perfect heel for this match. Corbin looks like he is going to be the new WWE champion, it is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when.
