WWE made a bold move when they decided to split up the American Alpha on Smackdown Live and move Jason Jordan to the Monday Night Raw. But, they haven’t just switched Jordan to the new brand, they gave him a new life in the WWE. Now, he is the son of Kurt Angle, a GM of the red brand, which is a big deal for this guy and a big opportunity for him. However, there are things that he still needs to work on.
He is a monster in the ring, there is no bout about that. But, he has to work on his character or the fans will turn on him as a face that only smiles and really don’t do anything else. The start of his singles career wasn’t that great, but he is starting to prove himself as he has had two great matches against two of the biggest superstars that the WWE had in recent memory.
First, he had a great match with John Cena last week on Raw. That is something that is always going to get you a lot of praise from the WWE officials. Then, he went toe-to-toe with Roman Reigns on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. Two great duels with two of the biggest superstars in the company.
Kurt Angle has recently spoken about Jason Jordan and the direction of this storyline.
“I think Jason has a lot of potential. I think he’s going to be one of the more popular superstars down the road. He has a little bit of work to do – he’s a little bit shy – but as far as his athleticism, he’s one of the best we’ve got here. And I think this storyline is going to help him. Now, we haven’t really gritted down and gotten into the storyline, yet, but it’s going to happen eventually.”
