After we had seen The Undertaker in the main event of Wrestlemania 33, we thought that his wrestling career was over. He lost to Roman Reigns, which was his second loss ever at Mania. The only other one that he suffered was at Wrestlemania 30 against Brock Lesnar. We thought that was it for the Dead Man since he had a lot of problems with his hips, he didn’t move well in the ring at all.
But, later in 2017, he got his hip replacement surgery that he desperately needed and now he looks better than he looked in quite a while. The Phenom made his return against John Cena at Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans. Taker made a quick work of the leader of Cenation, as he moved well in the ring and got back on track when it comes to winning at Wrestlemania.
Then, he made another appearance sooner than anyone expected at the Greatest Royal Rumble show in Saudi Arabia. It was a casket match versus Rusev, in which he looked great. It seems that The Undertaker feels good in the ring again.
Triple H was recently asked when is the Dead Man going to make his next WWE appearance, and here is what he had to say about Taker.
“I think there’s one person who has the rights to call the shots and that’s The Undertaker. I think it will all depend on him and I think it should all depend on him. At this point, it should be what he wants to and feels comfortable doing. I know that he, as a performer, always wants to be able to give his best and, if he can’t then he doesn’t want to do it.”
