With the rematch for the Money In The Briefcase that happened this past Thursday, now we know that Carmella is indeed going to be the one to hold that briefcase in the future. That is until she decides that it is time to cash-in and get that instant shot at the title. That will be the first ever women’s Money in the Bank cash-in ever, and it will be interesting to see how the WWE decides to do it.
The time of her cash-in is going to depend on when Baron Corbin is going to cash in his deal. We don’t think that the company is going to have two superstars holding the contract for a long time. In the case of Baron Corbin, we believe that he is going to cash in around Survivor Series at the latest. On the other hand, when it comes to Carmella, we think that she might hold the contract even going into 2018.
James Ellsworth will likely be involved with that cash-in as well. Holding the briefcase for a long time and then having somebody help her win that match is pretty fitting with the character that Carmella is trying to portray. A cowardly heel is supposed to win the title using the heel tactics.
There were a few people that failed to win the title after they cashed-in their contract, but we don’t think that Carmella is going to fail as it will be pretty stupid to have the first ever women’s Money in the Bank briefcase holder blow this almost guaranteed win. We can’t put it past WWE as the first ever women’s MITB match ended with a man taking down the briefcase, so everything is possible. That would kill Carmella’s momentum and would leave her looking like a loser, killing off her character basically, so we don’t think that is going to happen when she cashes in.
