We expected to see the first match from the Shield in more than three and a half years this Sunday at the TLC pay per view. Those dreams that the fans had were squashed on Friday as the WWE announced that Roman Reigns is going to miss the Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV because of the virus that he has, along with some other Superstars like Bray Wyatt. Instead of him, we got Kurt Angle joining Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
Now, we have Roman Reigns that is out of action. He didn’t appear on the PPV, and he also didn’t perform at Monday Night Raw where the brand was under Siege by the Smackdown Live stars. So, is he in danger of missing the Survivor Series, WWE’s last dual branded event.
Well, according to the reports, the illness isn’t that serious, and Roman Reigns should return to the action soon. He missed Raw, but he very well might be ready for the next week’s episode. Now, the question is whether or not WWE will bring him back before the SS or is he going to make his return after the event.
If he is back next week, we expect him to be one of the five members of the red team that is going to battle SD Live in a 5v5 traditional elimination match. If not, which is less likely, he is going to continue the Shield storyline with his partners Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. All in all, we can expect Roman to be back soon. If he is in the SS battle, Raw is likely going to win that match with him standing tall at the end of the show. The company wants to get him through this period before the road to Mania looking as strong as he possibly can.
