The rumor has it that Wayward Pines Season 3 has been canceled since its second season did not achieve much of success in rating and with critics. Apparently, the Season 2 really did not come out well, and it will obviously affect the future of the series. However, it has recently been reported that the Season 3 will be given a chance to improve the impression, despite the destiny of its predecessor.
The president of Fox Entertainment, David Madden, is giving the hope of “Wayward Pines” Season 3 being brought to life anyways. But he also pointed out that despite the series big chances of having its sequel, it is unlikely that it will happen during this year.
“Wayward didn’t come together quickly enough for us to have it this summer; there have been discussions about casting,” is what he stated. But the fans can be relieved now that they know that they have something to look forward to.

It was only when TV Line reported that the series could be canceled that the audience was given something to fear about. According to them, the producers were pondering whether the next sequel would pay off.
But with the president’s words now it is almost certain that the sequel is going to happen. It is only that network is currently occupied with some other series, so it cannot fully concentrate on “Wayward Pines” Season 3, which will affect the time of its release.
