When we are talking about the underachievers in the NFL this season, we need to start that conversation with the Arizona Cardinals. They have been considered to be one of the best teams in the NFC before the year started. Now, they are most likely going to miss the Playoffs. Well, unless Seattle has a major collapse.
The defense couldn’t get healthy all season long while Palmer and his weapons don’t seem to be on the same page. Larry Fitzgerald is still reliable, but he alone can’t carry this squad on the offensive side of the ball.
Redskins are still in a Playoff hunt. Yes, with that loss to the Cowboys their chances are now a bit slimmer, but they still have the winning record. Kirk Cousins is having a career year after the last season in which he was good while leading his team to the division title. He has taken the game to a new level, and his stats and the eye test show that.
Washington’s defense is their major problem. They can play while not being awful like some of the defenses in the NFL, but inconsistency is their biggest problem. They show up one week and disappear the next, that is unacceptable if you want to be a serious contender for top spots.
Arizona has almost nothing to play for this season. Redskins are the better team, and they need to win this game in order to keep or improve their Playoff position. We don’t believe in Arizona anymore and are going to pick Washington to win this match 28:20. Kirk Cousins will have a great game and lead the ‘Skins to victory.
