The star of the Fast and Furious strikes again just when you thought that you’ve seen enough of him on the big screen. Vin Diesel has been featured in Dodge commercials in order to attract as much attention as possible to these high-performance beasts. A total of three new ads shows Vin test out the upcoming ‘flagship’ Dodge products. Dubbed ‘Brotherhood of Muscle’ the line up is introduced to us by three commercials.
The first one is named ‘Rally Cry, ‘ and there Vin drives a Challenger Hellcat. A lot of burnouts can be seen since that is kind of a trademark of the vehicle itself. After that, we have a commercial named ‘Monster’ where we can see a completely new Durango SRT for the first time. Last but not least, the ‘Shepherds’ exclaims the power of 707 horsepower (527 kilowatts) of the Charger Hellcat.
Before the three-part ad spot, we have a one minute and two thirty-second clips which debuted on May 1st, 2017. Oliver Francois (chief marketing officer of Dodge) claimed that Vin Diesel was ‘the ideal partner’ for the new ad campaign. He also added that ‘it’s a natural fit that builds on the strengths of both of us.’
This comes as no surprise since the Dodge has invested a lot into the Fast and Furious movie franchise. In the latest film, The Fate of the Furious Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) was driving among numerous vehicles a brand-new 840 hp (626 kW) Demon. The movie achieved a global record debut with $532.5 million which is even better than the Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Jurassic World which bore the record previously.
Diesel said ‘Ever since The Fast and the Furious began, my favorite has been the 1970 Dodge Charger.’ He then went on to add ‘As Dodge is a partner in making the Fast & Furious films, I’ve gotten to know what they stand for … as well as their passion for creating high-performance cars like the Hellcats and the Demon. They’re bringing muscle back the right way and these are my kind of cars.’
