At first glance, it was a really good thinking to bring in the Venom and Sandman but what really killed this movie was a pretty bad representation of those characters. As a cherry on top was the Green Goblin which was nothing like his comic book counterpart, despite the fact that it had a cool new look. Yes, we know that there is something like writers freedom and imagination, but too much is too much. According to what viewers and hardcore fans said this was perhaps the lamest attempt at bringing Spiderman into the mainstream.
