Hacksaw Jim Duggan is the first Royal Rumble official winner, and during his match at Survivor Series 1987, he and Harley Race were fighting outside the ring. Both wrestlers were eliminated by a count-out and left their teams to continue four-on-four. In the future Survivor Series matches, Hacksaw would always be eliminated by a count-out and never by a pin.
