The Super Bowl is just twelve days away. Both teams are scouting each other, watching those tapes, watching the games and trying to figure out how they are going to stop whatever the other squad tries to do. Let’s see which players the Falcons need to stop the most on Patriots offense.
Honorable mentions: Chris Hogan, Wide Receiver; Martellus Bennett, Tight End.
3) Dion Lewis, Running Back – The Patriots are using LaGerrette Blount, James White, and Dion Lewis in the running game, but the last guy is the most explosive one. He can catch passes out of the backfield, he can juke out defenders and make plays. Patriots are using him in every way possible, and the Falcons are going to have to find a way to stop it.
2) Julian Edelman, Wide Receiver – Even though Chris Hogan had a great game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Edelman is still a go-to guy for Tom Brady. He is as tough as the wideouts come. This man is able to make a lot of tough catches against bigger defenders, and he is pretty dependable. That is why Tom Brady is looking his way whenever Patriots need a big play.
1) Tom Brady, Quarterback – Of course, this was a no-brainer. Brady is not only the best player on offense, but he is the leader of this team on and off the field. His passion and intensity are what gets these guys going. Brady is the best when the chips are down, and the Falcons will need to try and figure out how to deal with one of the best quarterbacks of all time.
