The name itself has to do something with the Egyptians’ worship of the sun. Marc Deschamps and Bertone were the ones behind the Athon. Bertone was the one who mainly had the word when it came to the design. Glass surfaces integrated parts of the bodywork. Truly innovative at the time.
When it comes to the cabin you can see a tall rear deck, it was forward-set, and all finished off in gunmetal grey. Under the hood, it had a 3.0-litre V8 that packed 260bhp and was carried over from the Lamborghini Silhouette.
The concept car from the picture you’re currently looking at was sold at an auction for €347k a few years ago.
