6Ford Mustang 1993
The Mustang survived another crisis, and the carmaker has decided to create a Japanese-engineered FWD coupe instead of the American RWD sports car. People were not pleased with such a decision, so they swarmed the company asking them to reconsider their direction after a cover story expose by Autoweek and Ford listened to the people – luckily. However, it wasn’t that easy because all the money was used for the development of the new car which became known as the Ford Probe.
Ford wanted to give the old car a proper send-off, so they created the Cobra, one of the hottest Mustang models ever assembled. It came with a 5.0-liter V8 unit good for 239 horsepower, large breaks, and updated suspension. As if Cobra wasn’t powerful enough, Cobra R was also introduced, but only the buyers with valid SCCA racing licenses could purchase one.
