To develop the fourth-generation Mustang, Ford ‘dipped into the savings fund’ and took $700 million. The 1994 model was created, and it brought old-school performance back, while the side scoops and profile reminded us of the original version from the 1960s. This variant of the car was equipped with a large 8.0-liter V8 unit that generated 225 horsepower, but Ford decided to carry over the Cobra and Cobra R as well. The R model was produced in 250 examples only, while its 5.7-liter V8 delivered 300 hp. We could say that American carmaker was finally back on track.
