Jason Jordan was one of the most talented collegiate amateur wrestlers for several years, and while he was at Indiana University, he was unbeaten in his senior year. He signed a development contract with WWE and was a part of FCW and NXT for a while when he and Chad Gable joined forces to become American Alpha.
They were one of the best tag teams in NXT and WWE, and they even managed to get two Tag Team Championship wins, but they ended up losing to The Usos, which was the point when everything turned upside down for Jordan. RAW General Manager Kurt Angle said that Jordan was, in fact, his “son,” but this was planned from the beginning and he was drafted to the red brand.
