The year 2017 has already had a platter of beautifully tuned cars. Vehicles from Tesla, Mustang lineup, and Porsche have been tuned all around the world, from the US to China. The aforementioned models neither lack in looks nor power and performance. We know that it’s only May, but nevertheless, we have made a list of the 10 most popular tuner cars of 2017 (so far). The list was based on your reviews and comments gathered from social media and various sites. We have yet to see how the things will pan out by the end of the year but here is our current list:
Fostla Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe
This car’s color is hands down a real sight to see. Chrome orange exterior looks smooth and s*xy, combined with the black roof, oh my, oh my… Fostla also worked on performance for this beauty, and now it can produce 730 hp (544 kW) compared to the original stock 577 hp (430 kW).
Lightweight BMW M2 CSR
Those of you who think that the standard BMW M2 is powerful, well, not so fast fellas. Lightweight Performance replaced the standard 6 cylinder engine and put an S55 engine from an M3. That will give you around 610hp (454 kilowatts). Okay, now you know, now you’ve seen how powerful it can be.
Prior Design Tesla Model S
It may come as a surprise that a ‘green’ car is on our list, but Prior is the one guilty for that. Tesla Model S was upgraded with a Prior Design body kit which consists of the completely new front bumper with a spoiler lip, more prominent back spoiler and a brand new set of 21-inch PD5 alloy wheels. This car is now officially both ‘green’ and ‘mean.’
Pogea Racing Fiat 500 Abarth
This one goes for all fans of the Abarth’s work. You thought that Fiat 500 Abarth was aggressive enough straight from the factory? Well, you thought wrong. Engineers at Pogea Racing proved you wrong actually. All black everything little Fiat 500 now packs 405 hp (302 kW) and 328 pound-feet of torque (445 Newton-meters). How about that?
Boba-Motoring VW MK2 Golf
We simply couldn’t leave out the legendary German from the list. Although this tuned vehicle looks like an ordinary MK2 VW Golf this beast can reach 60mph (96kmh) in just 2.3 seconds, 130mph (209kmh) in 3.4 and its top speed is around 218mph (350kmh). Not bad for an ‘oldtimer’ right? Well, those numbers have to thank a 1,200-hp (894-kW) 2.0-liter engine on the performance.
Nissan GT-R Police Pursuit #23
I think you are all familiar with the Nissan GT-R, we’ll spare you the usual introduction. However, this time we have a specially designed Nissan, the one which was prepared for the New York Auto Show, to put it simply, it is a police version of GT-R. The makeover included a new body kit, 20-inch aluminum wheels and all of that was topped with a nickname ‘Copzilla.’ I guess that we don’t have to explain the nickname either, just look at that thing. Oh yeah, also, don’t act smart and try to outrun the Copzilla will you?
Zero to 60 Designs Ford Mustang GTT
What do you get when you combine a Ford GT and a Ford Mustang? You get this piece of awesomeness. Whatever you feel about the Zero to 60 Designs’ customized Mustang GT there is no doubt that a pony car which can produce 800 hp (596 kW) is worth taking a look at. Smooth looks and great performance qualify this car to be on our list.
TopCar Porsche 911 Turbo Carbon Edition
Now, this Porsche 911 is one mean looking son of a gun. Its all-black carbon design gives the car an aggressive look plus a 650 hp (485 kW) engine, well that’s a winning combination right there.
Carlex Design Ford Mustang GT
Well, now we’ve seen it all, Carlex Design decided to combine Dodge Challenger with a Mustang. And the results are marvelous, but you would expect them to be exactly like that. This beast now packs 727 hp (542 kW) and 610 lb-ft of torque, and on top of that, it looks gorgeous. Gloss white and the red facade is featured on the exterior with a cabin coated in red leather… Where do I sign up? Take my money already!
Aspec VW Scirocco R
Last but not least, we have a Chinese VW Scirocco R. Huge body upgrade consisting of the giant rear wing, new front fascia, and s*xy gray color made Aspec’s wonder-kid make the cut on our list. This company also replaced the original engine with the one producing 430 hp (321 kW) just to match the aggressive look. Good job Aspec.
