33. Michael Phelps

Yet another Olympic Gold Medalist that made his way to our list. Phelps has 23 gold medals in his trophy cabinet. He also recently got married and moved his focus away from swimming. There is no doubt that he had an exceptional career. However, there is one stain in his records. In 2008 Milorad Cavic from Serbia lost to Phelps even though he finished the race first. Many video clips still circulate around the web, but the Olympic committee never did anything about it. Still, great career and well-deserved respect go to Mr. Phelps.
