Cardio exercises are helpful and healthy, but not overly desirable if you are focusing on muscle mass. After cardio training, you will be tired, and part of your energy will be wasted. Try to have your cardio sessions on those days when you are not focused on heavy weight training because it is better to use your whole energy during training with higher weights.
