One of the Reddit users pointed out that people have dug here before and that there have been more than 40 pits since the first attempt. These pits collapsed in, and a lot of debris and equipment was trapped underneath the land. The landscape of Oak Island has changed drastically due to these excavations and no-one seems to think of that.
