Ever since the Shield broke up when Seth Rollins turned his back on Ambrose and Reigns back in 2014, everybody knew that it was only a matter of time when the Hounds of Justice are going to get back together and rule the WWE yet again. Now, three and a half years later, they are in full force, and they are going to be in the main event of the Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay per view.
Everybody expects them to win. The fans are not going to watch this match so they can witness a close battle. They want to watch it because they want to see these guys in action. The addition of Braun Strowman is going to enhance this event, there is no doubt about that, but in the end, The Shield is going to come out on top.
When we look at the possible matchups for these guys on the main roster, the first thing that comes to mind is The Club. AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows are capable of making this a good feud. Unfortunately, Gallows and Anderson haven’t been built up as of late. But, had the Styles debuted after Mania just like these two and created this dominant faction, The Shield going up against a heel faction like The Club could have been a big deal. AJ Styles thinks so as well. If they get the chance to ever meet again and create the Club, he has no doubts that they would be successful in the WWE.
“Absolutely. I think that if Gallows and Anderson and I got together, we would dominate just like we’ve done before. There’s no doubt about it.”
