Renfro started as a promising offensive player in college, but when Cowboys’ coach Tom Landry spotted him he instantly saw something special in this guy and made a very surprising move – he moved him to the defensive side of the ball. As it later turned out Landry’s gut instinct paid off, and it paid off big time since Renfro helped the team reach two Super Bowl titles. Besides this, he took part in 10 Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams, plus he made it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
