Tesla constantly continues to impress us with new models and their latest Model S P100D is state-of-the-art. The top-shelf Model S accelerates from 0-60mph in just 2.5 seconds when the Ludicrous Mode is on. According to the CEO Elon Musk, the fastest production car in the world is no other than the P100D.
Many are already interested in Model S P100D and the sales are underway. Already, there are videos that prove how fast this car actually is. Las week, DragTimes confirmed that it can indeed go from 0-60mph in just 2.5 seconds. Moreover, they were not happy with just one run so they tried to accelerate from 0-100mph and it took it 6.5 seconds. It takes him 10.7 seconds for a quarter-mile which is outstanding. As a point of reference, the Huracan can go from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds.
But it terms of speed can the Model S compare to a lot more expensive Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4? DragTimes was busy last weekend studying exactly this.
As we have already seen a Model S P85D had no chance at all against a Huracan, but the P100D is a much faster version.
The Model S had an early lead and managed to save him for at least 10 seconds. The Huracan has a slow start but it compensates later in the race. Check out the video:
A couple of years ago, one couldn’t even imagine an electric vehicle going against a supercar such as Lamborghini. However, Elon Musk proved us wrong and the future of this company is bright.
