If there is a team to watch this season, it’s going to be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They are playing in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL, but they are also one of the reasons why the competition is stiff in the NFC South. The defense is getting better, we are entering the third year of the Jamies Winston, which means the Bucs are going to have to take a step forward this season.
This team was close to making it to the Postseason last year as they had a great run in the second half of the year until they ran into the red-hot Dallas Cowboys team. Winston is going to have DeSean Jackson to throw the ball too, which is an another guy that is going to take some attention off Mike Evans. That is the improvement that they made this offseason. It all starts against the Bengals this week.
Speaking of them, in 2016, they have missed the Playoffs for the first time in the last couple of years. Injuries have played a big part in that, but the fact of the matter is that they are not quite as good as they used to be, especially on the offensive side of the ball. AJ Green is still there, but who else is going to be a real threat in that passing game for the Bengals? Is Andy Dalton really a guy for them?
We don’t expect a lot of starters in this game. But, we do expect a good game since these are the two teams that are on a similar level. Bucs might be a bit better squad in 2017 and we are going to pick them to win this game 27:17.
