Supernatural is probably one of the longest series on TV that also pretty much has the iconic status, and there is a good reason behind that. To some this TV show is sometimes boring, sometimes unoriginal but it is one of the rarest series that even after 12 seasons takes chances, even though it doesn’t need to, surprise us when we least expect it and maintain one of the strongest and most loyal fanbases on TV.
Supernatural is an American fantasy horror television series created by Eric Kripke, and it started airing on September 13, 2005. Everyone by now knows that it stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester and that it follows these two brothers on their quest to rid the world of demons, ghosts, monsters, and other evil supernatural beings.
Those who have watched this TV show know how the life of these two brothers is and how complicated it has been complicated. A lot of twists, some of which were expected, but most unexpected happened and made the life for Sam and Dean very complex, but brotherly love and a firm belief system is what kept them going all this time. Since it is such a long-lasting TV show, it had a long list of other executive producers, besides Kripke, and the list includes McG, Robert Singer, Phil Sgriccia, Sera Gamble, Jeremy Carver, John Shiban, Ben Edlund and Adam Glass.
With all things mentioned so far in this post, the fact that Supernatural Season 13 is a go for next fall should not come as a big surprise to anybody, no matter if you are a fan or not. The renewal for another sequel of the Supernatural was just one of the news we received from the CW. They also released a huge host of CW renewal announcements which include orders for Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Some of the mid-season shows such as Riverdale, which doesn’t arrive until later this month and iZombie which will return in the spring, unfortunately, weren’t part of this particular round of announcements. So far there’s nothing official on whether or not the struggling newcomers such as Frequency and No Tomorrow will even be eligible for getting another season on the network.
