Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has decided to appoint Steve Dowling as the new Vice President of its communications department. As per the reports published on Apple’s executive bios web page, Dowling was the Director of the Public Relations department earlier. He has replaced Katie Cotton, who left Apple in 2014.

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook decided to reshape the PR department of the company in such a way that it could bring positive results for the company. He could reach a mutual point of agreement with Katie Cotton; hence, the latter had to leave the company. Dowling has been leading the Communications Department of Apple after Cotton’s departure; hence, things are not new to him. Earlier in October 2014, he was named the interim Head of PR Department.

According to one of the spokesmen of Apple, the entire senior management hopes that he would use his skills and expertise for the growth of the company.
