In probably the toughest game of the divisional round to pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to pull off an upset against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead, in one of the toughest places to play. The final score of this game was 18:16, not really what a lot of people expected.
Steelers are known for their offense. The game started with them having the ball and with Big Ben finding Antonio Brown for a huge play that put the Steelers in the red zone. They ended up with only three points on that drive, and the Chiefs made them pay with a TD score.
It looked like we were about to have another shootout, but both offenses just stopped moving the chains, and we had a defensive struggle on our hands.
When a team has players like Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, and Big Ben, you would expect that they would be able to get the ball to the end zone. They finished with six field goals and no touchdowns.
Luckily for them, that was enough as the Chiefs drove the ball to the end zone, scored, converted for two points, but they were called for a hold, making their two-point conversion a 12-yard attempt for 2 points. They failed to complete the comeback, and the Steelers went on to win the duel.
Pittsburgh will be traveling to Foxborough next week as they have a meeting with the Patriots. They will be underdogs in that game, but they are going to have a chance to get to the Super Bowl.
