OnePlus is extremely popular today. Everyone’s been talking about it for the last few years and for a good reason. Since this relatively new company released its famous OnePlus 6T smartphone, the world went crazy for it. It could be one of the most important releases of this company. Today, we decided to compare some of the main recent released devices of OnePlus which include OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 7, and OnePlus 7 Pro, and help you make your choice on whether or not these devices are worth your money.
OnePlus 6 is still a very appealing choice to many even after the release of the OnePlus 6T the same year. The differences between these two phones aren’t huge, but they are noticeable.
OnePlus 6T was released just five months after OnePlus 6 and it came with some new features.
In-Display fingerprint reader came with the OnePlus 6T while OnePlus 6 kept the rear-mounted scanner. It is intriguing and it comes with pretty animations, but this feature alone isn’t a good enough reason to choose the 6T over 6. For everyone who is used to the rear-mounted reader, this will take some time to get used to. The in-display reader is, however, a bit slower than the rear-mounted one, but the difference in speed isn’t significant.
According to ANewCellPhone website, the main downside of the OnePlus 6 is the single, down-firing speaker that can be a bit disappointing.
OnePlus 6T comes with a bigger battery – 3700mAh vs 3300mAh on the OnePlus 6. The fast charge and a bigger battery surely make this model an appealing choice. However, OnePlus 6T lost the headphone jack. I understand that by now many are switching to wireless headphones and losing a headphone jack is simply an evolutionary thing and we should all stop crying about it.
Another difference between the devices is the notch which is slightly bigger with the newer model. With OnePlus 6T also came two new color options – Thunder Purple and the McLaren Edition. Both colors are quite alluring, with Thunder Purple being my personal favorite.
Even though the prices of both models aren’t too high, I currently feel like OnePlus6 is a better choice. Unless you’re a true fan of in-display reader and need extra 400mAh of battery life, I say go for the OnePlus 6 which is a terrific choice and has everything you might need. The display is more than decent, the camera is fantastic, and it’s got a faster fingertip reader.
As far as the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro are concerned, the differences aren’t too big. OnePlus 7 will come with the Snapdragon 855, the dual camera on the back, a 6.4-inch OLED display, and in-display fingerprint sensor. On the other hand, OnePlus 7 Pro brings the pop-out selfie camera to the table, as well as a 6.7-inch screen (also OLED display), and an optional 5G connectivity. OnePlus 7 Pro comes with a notchless display while OnePlus 7 kept the notch of the OnePlus 6T that came before it.
OnePlus 7 Pro is equipped with a better camera, so if you’re all about photographs, this model is probably the right choice for you.
OnePlus 6 is an amazing phone and the price is quite reasonable. That’s why it’s challenging to make people fall in love with anything you release after it. In any case, whatever your choice is, OnePlus is definitely worth buying and is currently a tough competitor to Huawei, iPhone, Samsung, and others.
