There is enough material to move on to the next season as not all ideas from the works of Sir Conan Doyle have been adapted into the show. Some of the stories on which the new season can be based are “The Red-Headed League” and “The Man With the Twisted Lip.” Sherlock Season 4 left some of the questions unanswered, and the fans could only find these out if the producers decide to film the next season.

Sherlock Season 5 Release date
The release date remains unknown, and Sherlock fans can only wait for the official announcement. The wait between two seasons is long, as we have had a chance to see, so Season 5 will not air soon. You should know that cast of Sherlock is preoccupied in the upcoming years and Cumberbatch has a multi-movie deal with Marvel, whereas Freeman is busy with Everett K. Ross.
