The American tuner Shelby is famous for its Ford Mustang customizations, and now the company has built its first Mustang concept in a decade. The concept looks so attractive, and its body is really really wide.

In general, muscle cars are famous for their straight-line performance and not their sharp handling, but that is changing quickly because of the Shelby’s Super Snake Wide Body which is going to push the Mustang’s handling abilities to a whole new level. In total, four inches have been added to the rear track, and 2.5 inches to the front track and only these changes gave the Super Snake a dangerously handsome look.

Because of the wide body, Mustang doesn’t just look more attractive, but it also has better grip, and its driving dynamics have changed, according to Shelby. This muscle car is dominant on the drag strip as well as on any race course.

Under the hood, Shelby installed a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 which produces 750 hp managing to surpass the power rating of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Moreover, this tuned Mustang has been equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, but unfortunately, the performance figures have not been announced yet. One thing is for sure – we cannot wait to see this car hit the track.

In addition, the Super Snake Wide Body can also brag with modified suspension system and Brembo brakes. Hardened wheel studs have also been installed, just in case, but for now, the Shelby Super Snake Wide Body remains only a concept.

According to the company’s spokesperson, the executives are going to discuss the matter later this year when it is supposed to be decided whether this car will be produced or not. On Shelby’s website, you can see that the model will be released in the fall of this year, so stay tuned for pricing and other details about this car.
