We know that some teams are a lock to make it to the postseason. As a matter of fact, we think there are teams in each conference that are almost a lock to go to the NBA Finals. But we need to take a look at other teams and to predict which ones will get to the 2017 NBA Playoffs. Let’s start with the Easter Conference.
CLEVELAND CAVALIERS – This is a no-brainer. Cavs will be the number one seed yet again, and they are the consensus pick to make it to the NBA Finals for the third straight season.
BOSTON CELTICS – They had a great regular season last year, and we expect for them to improve even further. Celtics will win the second seed in the East and battle for the Conference Finals.
INDIANA PACERS – Larry Bird has stated that he wants this team to play faster. They’ll do that and win the third seed in the East. It’s going to be a tough battle between them and Boston for the Conference Finals.
TORONTO RAPTORS – They will take a step back this time. Fourth seed sounds about right for them, and they’ll battle for the Second Round.
ATLANTA HAWKS – Dwight Howard is now on the squad, and he will be good enough for the fifth seed. Maybe even the Conference Semifinals.
DETROIT PISTONS – They will improve and win the sixth seed, but they will exit the playoffs in the first round for the second straight season.
NEW YORK KNICKS – This squad is just too gifted on paper not to make the postseason. Seventh seed sounds about right.
MILWAUKEE BUCKS – Giannis Antetokumnpo will lead this team to the playoffs, they will get the final seed but no more than that.
