Sara Jesica Parker will face her fist singing challenge after childhood, for the purposes of the role in the new film.
Popular comedy and romance TV Show star is going to play a New York singer and performer Vivienne and yes, she will be singing for the role herself. Singing isn’t totally strange to Sara, taking into account her first similar tasks as a teenage performer in a famous Broadway musicals Annie and The Sound of Music.
Not much else is known about the plot, except that the new still-untitled movie will try to convey the singer’s struggle caused by illness.
The screenplay is the work of Laura Eason, also known for her involvement in House of Card’s script.
The direction is entrusted to a French filmmaker Fabien Constant, known for his work on several documentaries about fashion and popular couture.
In addition to starring, Parker will also work as a producer, alongside with the Constant. She is well-known for engaging in production and development of her acting projects, both TV series, and films.
Filming is scheduled to begin this winter. Fans are already impatient to see their sweetheart Carrie Bradshaw without makeup and fancy fashion accessories, with emphasis on acting in a long-awaited drama genre.
Alongside this project Parker is expecting an October’s premiere of her first HBO show since popular New York oriented romance. New TV comedy is called Divorce.
