We will have another Texas showdown on a Saturday night just a couple of days after these two squads met in San Antonio. James Harden scored 24 points in that game and finished with triple-double despite struggling against the Spurs in the past. Will he be successful against Greg Popovich’s squad again or will Kawhi Leonard and his Spurs avenge their loss?
Houston Rockets are playing the way that Harden likes. He is the one that is handling the ball while making all the decisions on offense. The difference between him from last season and this season is that he is getting rid of the ball quickly in this D’Antoni system. Everybody contributes and gets their shots while their star is still the main guy.
San Antonio Spurs are one of the best teams in the NBA yet again. Kawhi Leonard is one of the best players in the league while being the best defender in the NBA. He will take on James Harden again, and Popovich is going to put him on Rockets’ star every single possession. Harden had his fair share of struggles when Leonard was on him in the past but last round he showed that he could score 20+ points.
Passing the ball is what James does very well, and he will do it again in this match. But, for this squad to beat the Spurs, he is going to need to make some shots and put more points on the scoreboard.
It’s going to be interesting to see who will win this time around, but we have a feeling that Spurs will avenge their loss. Both of Spurs’ main stars will show up, especially Kawhi Leonard, and will lead his crew to 105:94 victory.
