Monday Night Raw was better than usual after the Royal Rumble as WWE creative did a nice job creating intrigue for the next show. Samoa Joe didn’t make his debut on the main roster during the Rumble, and that was a good decision since he made a much bigger impact as Triple H’s hitman that took out Seth Rollins at the end of the show.
We are a month away from the next RAW exclusive PPV on March 5th, 2017. That is just four weeks before Wrestlemania. This means that a lot of what will happen at Wrestlemania is going to be linked with Fastlane. Here is the rumored card for WWE Fastlane after last night’s Monday Night Raw.
Kevin Owens vs. Bill Goldberg – WWE Universal Championship – These two still haven’t crossed paths on television, but WWE has four more weeks to figure out how these are going to meet. Goldberg will be on RAW next week and will probably have a part that involves Owens.
Sami Zayn vs. Chris Jericho – United States Championship – Zayn beat Jericho on RAW, so this is a no-brainer. When someone pins the champion, they usually are bound for a title shot at some point. Zayn will probably get his at Fastlane.
Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman – Braun was the one that cost Roman the title at the Rumble, so this feud is quite obvious. They will likely meet at Fastline to settle their dispute.
Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe – Rollins wanted to go face-to-face with Triple H, but “The Game” had other plans as he lured “The Architect” to the ring only to have Samoa Joe destroy him on his behalf. It’s expected that they will have their square off in February.
Cesaro/Sheamus vs. Anderson/Gallows – WWE RAW Tag Team Championship – Cesaro and Sheamus will get their rematch for the titles at Fastlane. That’s classic WWE booking.
Nia Jax vs. Sasha Banks – Sasha has lost a lot of momentum as she has been booked poorly as a babyface. She will probably meet again with Nia Jax at Fastlane. It will be interesting to see what will her role be at Wrestlemania.
