We got an unexpected title match during this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. The Miz hosted Roman Reigns and The Shield on Miz TV, and it seems that it was a huge mistake for him to do that. Roman suggested that The Miz should defend his title on the show since they both weren’t scheduled for that event.
As soon as the battle started, we could have anticipated that The Miz was going to try and do something that will help him retain the title. First, he attempted to get himself counted out. Then he tried to count out Roman with a few cheap shots.
The plan B for The Miz was Sheamus and Cesaro jumping in, guys that he has worked with over the past couple of weeks. They came to the ring in order to help The Miz win, but The Big Dog was not alone as he now has two of his friends to help him out.
The Shield was prepared for something like this as Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose ran to the ringside as soon as The Bar showed up. Sheamus and Cesaro had no chance against the Shield as they took them out and helped Roman win the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career.
Now with this win, Reigns has achieved a career grand slam as he has held all of the titles in the WWE. The WWE Championship, The IC belt, United States Championship and the Tag Team belt. All of the biggest titles, Reigns has held them all. The next one for him is likely going to be the Universal Championship as he is probably going to face off with The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar at the grandest stage of them all, Wrestlemania 34.
