WWE Draft is bound to happen this year, and some major stars will be switching brands. It won’t be a full draft like it was last year when the rosters needed to be split up in half, but it will be a draft that will shake things up a little bit.
One of the guys that are rumored to be on the move is Raw’s Roman Reigns. John Cena will be doing his Hollywood duties after Wrestlemania 33, and he will leave a big hole in the roster of the Smackdown Live. According to a lot of reports, Vince McMahon thinks that Reigns should be the guy to fill the void that Cena will leave.
McMahon also wants to see Shinsuke Nakamura on Monday Night Raw, so that will leave room for Reigns to move to the blue brand. Roman definitely needs a change of scenery. Going to Smackdown probably won’t prevent the fans from booing him, but it’s going to be interesting to see how will they book The Big Dog. Many people don’t like the way he has been booked on Raw, so a fresh start on the other brand is much needed.
This also means that AJ Styles could be the guy to switch brands as well. Roman alone is not enough to replace him, but if WWE adds guys like Tye Dillinger or maybe even the Revival, things could get interesting on Smackdown. WWE still hasn’t announced when will the draft happen this year, but when they do, the rumors will start swirling around again.
