What a journey it has been for The Rock. He began as Rocky Maivia, a guy that wrestled in the WWE and was disliked because nobody really liked the character that he was playing. Then, he became The Rock and has taken that character to the heights that just a few superstars have already been to. There is no doubt that this guy is one of the best and most popular superstars of all time.
His successful WWE career and charisma that is still unmatched to this very day have enabled him to step into the world of movie making. Now, he is probably the biggest star that Hollywood has to offer. Does The Rock settle for that? Of course not. Right now, he is thinking about running for the President in 2024.
He admitted that he couldn’t do two things at the same time. Making movies and being the President of the United States are two things that can’t be done at the same time. That is why he is thinking about 2024 as he has a lot on his plate in coming years.
A lot of movies and TV projects have already been confirmed, and the last one is going to be done before or during 2024. After that, he is going to be free to make a Presidental run if he indeed decides that he wants to do that. Here is what Dwayne Johnson himself said about the possibility of him candidating later in his career.
“A year ago it started coming up more and more,” The Rock said. “There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think, ‘Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful.’ I didn’t want to e flippant – ‘We’ll have three days off for a weekend! No taxes!’ “
