Rezvani, an automaker from California, has been pleasing us with their sports car designs over the years. However, now they decided to get involved with SUVs. Some time ago they promised an ‘imposing Tank off-roader, and it seems like they’ve delivered it.
Rezvani Tank is the ultimate SUV because it packs 500 horsepower according to the company officials. It is based on the Jeep Wrangler, and it has a V-8 engine, mad-looking rear doors and night vision. You’ve probably realized by now that everything that has something to do with this vehicle, or is featured in it, is extreme. Therefore don’t be mad because of its price. It starts at $178,000.
Engineers and designers found their inspiration in military vehicles when they created the Tank. Its design resembles that of a Stealth Airplane, however, it is edgier and more futuristic. Having such an ‘imposing’ body means that you can talk the talk, but having a powerful engine that can move it, means that you can also walk the walk. The Tank is powered by a 6.4-liter V-8 which can be found in non-Hellcat SRT. It packs 500 hp and delivers 430 pound-feet of torque.
Just like the company promised when they introduced their Beast Speedster this Rezvani has more powertrain options in store for us. One option offers less power than the model we are talking about right now while the other brings more. The ‘weaker’ option is set to feature Fiat Chrysler Automobiles‘ 3.6-liter V-6. However, we can’t say for sure what will power the stronger option, but we hope that it will be the Hellcat. Few of the companies already offer Hellcat-powered Wranglers, so technically it is possible that the Rezvani gets the same treatment.
As we’ve mentioned this company took pride with their military theme when it comes to the Tank. The Tank also features some military-grade equipment. It has a thermal camera for night trips and bullet-proof armor protection. Rezvani listed in one of their most recent statements the B6 glass, Kevlar body panels and a Kevlar fuel tank as upgrades available in the armor protection package.
Another great perk the Tank features is the off-road capability and it was done with the help of Wrangler. According to the company, there are two off-road packages available for you to choose. Unfortunately, there were no further details provided considering the options list you can go through. On the other hand, we know for sure that there is a driver-selectable 4-wheel-drive system which is excellent.
Interior-wise the Tank resembles Wrangler. But Rezvani kind of dressed the interior by adding the suicide-style doors that are power operated, so the similarity to the Wrangler is a bit minimized. The company also implemented their own seats that include head-up displays.
At the moment you can give $1,000 deposits for the Tank if you want one. They also plan to deliver the first unit by the end of the year.
In year to come Rezvani Tank might be one of the Best SUVs 2018.
