Washington Redskins are the winners in four straight games. That win against the Giants was a catalyst for all these good performances by the Redskins. But, to be honest, their opponents were just on an average level, and they didn’t face any real deal squads. They will visit another one this week as they are going up against the Lions in Detroit.
Matthew Stafford is playing maybe even the best football of his career. He is putting himself in the conversation for one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Stafford is carrying this team, and they now have a shot at catching the Packers since they are also in a small decline when it comes to the level of play. This is a big game for this crew, and Stafford will show up to play.
Redskins are just one game away from catching the Cowboys in the NFC East. Kirk Cousins has been decent so far, just like the entire offense has been, but the defense is not playing at a high level, and they’ll need to as they are going up against a gunslinger in Stafford. Can Cousins outplay his rival QB this week in Detriot?
We think not. Redskins winning streak stops here. They are just not a great football team even with that decent 4-2 record. Detriot has a great opportunity at home to continue their winning path, and we think they’ll take it and be victorious in this game on their home turf. It’s going to be a close game and a high scoring affair, but Lions will end up on top. The final result should be somewhere along the lines of 35:30 in favor of the Lions.
