The New York Football Giants don’t have a thing to play for in Week 17. Eli Manning and company really don’t have to be on the field on Sunday, and the Giants could rest their starters. If they do, the Washington Redskins will have a great chance of making the Playoffs.
According to Ben McAdoo, New York will be at full strength on Sunday against their divisional rivals. Even though the match is meaningless for them, Eli Manning has struggled as of late, and he needs to get into a groove before the Playoffs start.
As far as the Redskins are concerned, they need to play everybody as this is the most important duel of their season. This squad has struggled in big time moments this year, they have been awful on the National stage and couldn’t prove that they are a real threat in the NFC every time they played in prime time.
This will be their last and the biggest challenge of the year. For Kirk Cousins, this might decide whether or not the Washington Redskins are going to give him that big contract that he will be chasing in the summer. He needs to perform and send this team to the postseason against a Giants squad that likely won’t press that pedal to the metal on Sunday.
Washington has good receiving core, decent offense overall and they need to show that in the biggest battle of the season, at least for them. It is do or die for the Redskins in many ways in Week 17. Will this be the last round for them or they will advance to the Playoffs?
