John Cena has been at the top of the food chain in the WWE for well over a decade now. For a long period of time, he has been present every single week on WWE television and has been carrying the company for so long. He has become so popular that he is now also a mainstream star like The Rock is. He is still not on the level of Dwyane Johnson, but he is on the rise.
He has been leaving the company a couple of times in the past couple of years as he has been pursuing some opportunities outside of the WWE. Vince McMahon had no problem with that, and he shouldn’t have since Cena is the one that has been carrying the load for years and he has done a lot for the company. He is representing them the best way that somebody can.
There are multiple sites and sources, like Deadline.com, that are stating that Cena has signed on to be a co-star in the Daddy’s Home next chapter that is going to be coming out soon. Cena made an appearance in the original film and he is going to have a much larger role in this sequel. The shooting of this movie is scheduled after Wrestlemania 33 and it seems that it’s when Cena will have to leave the WWE for a couple of months, again.
In this move, John Cena will be joined by Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, so this will make them his co-stars in the movie. Cena is for sure rising in the mainstream world.
