Porsche presented their new 991 turbo-based Gemballa Avalanche at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The company from Leonberg took the opportunity at this year’s Geneva Motor Show to reveal a power-house tuned Porsche. Almost everything has been modified and upgraded starting from the body all the way to the interior and of course power.
The new body resulted in track extension of approximately 62mm at the front and 100mm at the rear end. Body upgrade also includes a new front skirt, wider fenders, and a carbon hood. The new design of side skirts made them move towards an over-the-top rear. There has been an addition of new LED daytime running lights just to emphasize details on the front more.
When it comes to the rear end of the car, Gemballa has an adjustable wing that looks like the whale’s tail which just adds more flavor to that aggressive looking style of the car. This wing features three wings with a large center plate and large end plates. Trademark quad tailpipes and rear diffuser finish off the rear end. Each and every single carbon component was made in Germany.
The 3.8-liter engine has also been modified so as to make it more powerful. It can now produce up to 820hp and 950Nm. Those numbers are quite extraordinary. For this to work engineers came up with the new programmed engine and gearbox electrical system, a new turbocharger system, new air suction housing and new intake manifolds. They didn’t stop there; this car also features a new throttle valve bodies, reworked cylinder valves and heads and a high-performance air filter.
In addition to that, lightweight wheels were introduced, 21-inch units measuring 9 x 21 inches with 255/30 ZR21 tires at the front. At the rear, we have 11 x 21-inch rims paired with 325/25 ZR21 tires. Some may think that this car would be able to fly after all these modifications, we will just say that it is really, really quick.
When it comes to the interior company went for the sporty look. We have black and white leather strapping and carbon fiber material. This car also has painting control knobs which make a contrast that allows us to see illuminated Gemballa logos. That is a genius way to promote a brand.
Some may want to know the price of this beast and currently you can have one for €389,600 plus VAT. We are aware that it is not a small amount of money, but we think that it’s worth it considering that we are talking about a Porsche. car here.
