The new trailer for the “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is out and there is not one second of Jack Sparrow in it. Could this mean that Johnny Depp would have more of a supporting role and not be the center character?
Walt Disney Pictures officially released the trailer, which is different than any other movie trailers. It doesn’t reveal many smaller details, but it focuses on the villain Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem) who is dead and seeking revenge on Captain Jack Sparrow. So, the answer to the previous question whether Jack Sparrow will have a supporting role is ‘of course not’. There will be a lot of scenes with our favorite pirate, but we just wanted to scare you a little bit.
The movie begins when Captain Salazar and his crew finally find the way out of the Devil’s Triangle. Their plan is, well, to murder every single pirate, so Jack better watch out! As we can see in the trailer, Salazar is looking for one pirate especially and that is no-one else but Jack Sparrow.
The directors of the film are Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg and in addition to Johnny Depp and Javier Bardem, Orlando Bloom, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites and many more will appear in the movie.
Another great movie sequel is expected. “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” will hit theaters on May 26, 2017.
